Who We Are
CSTWAB — Computer Science Teachers Welfare Association, Bihar is a registered association founded in 2019 to unite and represent Computer Science teachers working in government +2 schools across all 38 districts of Bihar.
Our Members
We represent over 2,600 CS teachers who are recognized, fully qualified educators — holding degrees in Computer Science, IT, BCA, MCA or B.Tech (CS/IT) — appointed through the Bihar government’s official recruitment process to teach the Computer Science subject at the +2 (Class XI & XII) level.
Our Mission
- Advocate for pay parity with PGT-equivalent CS teachers in other progressive states
- Ensure MACP benefits are properly implemented for all CS teachers in Bihar
- Stop the misuse of CS teachers for non-teaching clerical work
- Push for proper computer lab infrastructure in every government +2 school
- Promote CS enrollment to make it a mainstream subject in Bihar schools
- Demand structured professional development programs for CS teachers
Our Structure
CSTWAB operates at the district level with an elected president, secretary and treasurer in each of Bihar’s 38 districts. A central executive committee coordinates statewide advocacy and communications.
Our Values
We believe in unity, dignity and rightful recognition. We have no conflict with teachers of other subjects — we respect all colleagues equally. Our issues are specific to Computer Science teachers and arise from policy gaps that need urgent correction.
